Allen practiced and played a brief preseason tune-up after signing with Indianapolis, and the Colts expect him to play Sunday despite his Aug. 30 arrest on preliminary drunken-driving charges; any league discipline remains unresolved. At 34, he can still separate, and last year’s 81-777-4 line gives him short-term PPR utility, but Indianapolis also has Pierce, Downs and Tyler Warren competing for targets. Managers are adding him mostly through waivers, while his long-term dynasty market remains near the floor. He is useful only as cheap win-now insulation; selling into any early production is safer than paying for a role that could disappear through age, suspension or reduced snaps.
