Brown’s workload finally looks bankable.

Brown handled 16 carries and six targets in Week 1, a 59% carry share and 18% target share, finishing with 78 total yards and a touchdown. That usage gives him a sturdier weekly floor than last year’s committee fears, while Joe Burrow’s back tightness is currently not expected to keep the quarterback out. The risk is that Cincinnati’s offense gets less efficient if Burrow’s limitation worsens, not that Brown lacks involvement. His current cost is easier to justify than it was before Week 1, but do not pay for another workload jump until Burrow practices.
